Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka is a native of Minsk, the capital of Belarus. Sergey, her father (who passed away in the year 2019) was an ice hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka is a Belarusian born on 5th May 1998. She has 12 WTA titles to her name in her career. This includes that of the Grand Slam of 2023 Australian Open. Doubles is another area where she excels. It was the US Open 2019, and Australian Open 2021 were both taken by Elise Mertens. Then she also won the Sunshine Double in 2019, by winning her the WTA 1000 at Indian Wells, Miami and the Australian Open alongside Elise Mertens. Only four women's pairs were able to achieve this feat. In January of 2023 she reached her highest ranking in singles. On the 23rd of August, 2021 she was promoted to number two in the world rankings. When she played doubles, she managed to push herself to the top of the list in February of the same year after the victory in Melbourne making her the second tennis player from Belarus to make it in the sport of doubles. Her coach was former Russian tennis player Dmitry Tursunov from 2018 until the conclusion of the season in 2019 and partially at the start of 2020. The pair also briefly worked with Dieter Kindlmann between August and September 2020. She has been trained by her native hero Antonio Dubrov since the end of 2020. Serena Williams, and Maria Sharapova are her heroes.
